Slave to Sephora

Sephora.com, Inc.I am addicted to deals. Not just any old deal that comes my way. It's the freebies Sephora adds on to my online orders. It's addictive. I love to place my goodies into my shopping bag then, though I know it's coming, I still act surprised when the "choose your freebies" page comes up! But the absolute best part?!? When the mail arrives! Because, although it's only a few days, I've forgotten that it's coming and forgotten what goodies I chose. It's like having a birthday but getting everything you love!

I get particularly giddy when Sephora sends me the inside scoop on a deal to share with all my fab fashionistas. FREE 10 day trial of bare minerals. A sample of foundation and necessary brush for flawless application can be yours with any Sephora.com purchase. Just use code 10DAY at checkout (while supplies last).

I recently hired my fabulous makeup artist and friend, Staci Broski of 7th Row, to give me a personal makeup consultation (which I highly recommend). She used the Laura Mercier foundation primer and I really liked it. So that will probably be my purchase today in order to claim my bareMinerals freebie.

Get your goodies today before they run out!

Fab Friday

It is always so difficult to choose what to write about. The fashion and beauty industries move so quickly that it's difficult to keep up. That is what you have Haute Market for! Too keep you in the loop.

Ulta has a 20% off offer for you to take advantage of on this fab Friday. Plus a sale page full of great deals.
Maybelline Great Lash mascara is a very popular one, often being top choice in magazine reader surveys. It's buy one get one free at Ulta. See site for details.

I've been expirimenting with other mascaras and Rimmel still comes out on top.
My recent go around was with L'Oreal's Telescopic mascara. The wand has a four sided comb for maximum lash grabbing. It does a fabulous job of coverage, however the wand is too long for me and it's too flexible. I like a stiff comb for preciseness. This one has too much give for when I'm trying to apply, so as I apply pressure, it bends. This was especially traumatic when I went to put the wand back in the container and I missed the opening so it bent. Now my comb is curved a bit - not in a way that helps application. So while the actual mascara itself looks fantastic on my lashes and did help lengthen the look, the applicator makes it too tedious to mess with for me. Rimmel Lash Maxxx is still on top of my lash bash list.
